Equality is a high-class sprinter with proven Group-level form. His standout victory came in the Group 3 Coral Charge at Sandown in 2023 under William Buick, where he delivered a dominant performance. He followed that with a career-best third in the Group 1 Flying Five at the Curragh, firmly establishing himself as a genuine contender at the highest level.

By Equiano, a dual winner of the Group 1 King’s Stand Stakes, Equality hails from a strong sprinting line that includes Group 1 stars such as The Tin Man, Strath Burn and Equilateral. Equiano is a proven source of speed and durability, while his paternal half-brother Dark Angel has become one of Europe’s leading sires, adding further depth and quality to the pedigree.

His dam, Penny Drops, was a black-type performer for William Haggas and is out of Penny Cross, a half-sister to Group 2 Celebration Mile winner Priors Lodge. It is a pedigree that consistently produces high-class performers and one that has clearly passed on plenty of ability.

We purchased Equality at the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale and he has progressed steadily through the ranks, providing his owners with a number of memorable performances along the way. After sustaining a tendon injury at the end of 2024, he was given the necessary time to recover and strengthen. He returned to action on the all-weather over the winter months and, while he has yet to fully recapture his very best form, he continues to show plenty of enthusiasm for racing.

With his class and ability, we remain hopeful he can continue to build back towards his peak and provide his owners with many more enjoyable days on the racecourse.
