HARRY CHARLTON
*2025 Bay Colt by Territories ex Finery (Al Kazeem) - Harry Charlton
We are delighted to have secured our sixth yearling at Tattersalls Book 3, a colt by Territories out of the Al Kazeem mare Finery, purchased for £23,000. He is eligible for both Tattersalls sales races, as well as Band C Restricted Races.
This colt immediately caught our eye. He has a beautiful outlook and made a striking impression as he strode out of his box. After two weeks searching, we are delighted to have found a colt well worth the wait.
Territories showed top-class ability on the track, finishing second in the Group 1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère before winning the Group 1 Prix Jean Prat over a mile. He also finished second to Gleneagles in the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket.
At stud, his progeny include Group 1 winners Lazzat, Regional and Rougir, while Hoo Ya Mal finished second in the Epsom Derby. His offspring have excelled over sprint distances and at a mile, with success across the globe. His maternal family also features influential stallions Street Cry and Shamardal.
The dam, Finery, brings toughness and durability to the pedigree. She won eight of her 38 starts, achieving an official rating of 81, and demonstrating the soundness and constitution we hope she can pass on to her progeny.
Luke:
All good things come to those who wait. Our final buy of the Tattersalls October sales is a cracker. Physically, he would not have looked out of place among the blue bloods in Book 1. And what’s not to like about his pedigree? His sire is the immaculately bred Territories (sire of three Group 1 winners), and his second dam is a Galileo daughter of Cheveley Park Stud’s champion racemare Echelon, herself the dam of the outstanding Integral.
This boy’s dam is by Al Kazeem, who was very touch and sound winning 8 races and was trained by Roger Charlton, so fittingly, he will be heading to Beckhampton. We’ve ticked both boxes for next year’s sales races – who said it couldn’t be done again. You’ve got to be in it to win it!
Shares in this colt are on sale now and offered on a strictly first-come, first-served basis – for more information please get in touch now…

HARRY CHARLTON
BECKHAMPTON, WILTSHIRE
HIGH SUMMER
Harry Charlton is based at the historic Beckhampton Stables in Wiltshire, one of the most celebrated training yards in British racing. The yard has a remarkable heritage, having been home to legendary trainers including Sir Noel Murless and, more recently, Harry’s father Roger Charlton, under whom it enjoyed decades of success at the highest level. Harry took over the licence in his own right in 2024 after working closely alongside his father for many years and made an immediate impression, with Hand Of God providing him with his first Royal Ascot winner when landing the Golden Gates Handicap that summer. He has continued to build his own identity at Beckhampton, with Wine Dark Sea adding Listed success in the Geoffrey Freer Stakes at Newbury in 2026. New to the Kennet Valley trainer roster in 2025, Harry currently trains our two-year-old High Summer, a son of first-season sire Minzaal. Beckhampton combines world-class facilities with deep-rooted racing history, and Harry and his team provide a warm welcome to owners visiting the yard. It is a wonderful setting in which to enjoy the Kennet Valley experience, and we look forward to following High Summer’s progress in the months ahead.
