We were delighted to secure this beautiful daughter of Harry Angel for £55,000 at the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale in Doncaster.

Harry Angel was a supremely tough and exceptionally talented sprinter. A son of the outstanding sire Dark Angel, he captured both the July Cup and the Haydock Sprint Cup to earn the title of Champion Sprinter. Although he perhaps wasn’t an obvious commercial sensation when he retired to stud, his early runners quickly demonstrated his ability to produce high-class racehorses. The likes of Marshman and Arisaig have firmly established him as one of Europe’s most exciting young stallions, consistently producing stock with both speed and class.

This filly is particularly interesting on pedigree. Successful Harry Angel runners have often excelled when crossed with mares carrying the Galileo influence, and All Angels is out of a daughter of Australia, one of Galileo’s finest sons. It’s a cross that continues to produce excellent results.

Her dam, Heavenly Snow, was a winner in Ireland and looked to have plenty more to offer after an impressive handicap debut victory before her racing career came to an unexpectedly early end. Her official rating of 75 almost certainly failed to reflect her true ability. Encouragingly, she has already produced one winner from her first runner, while the family also includes French 1,000 Guineas winner Matiara and Group 1-winning juvenile Epicuris.

Luke Lillingston commented: “It was love at first sight when I first inspected her. She is beautifully balanced, with the proverbial head of a princess and the bottom of a washerwoman! She quickly became our nap of the day and I’m thrilled we managed to secure her. Her broodmare sire, Australia, is becoming an outstanding influence, and the Sadler’s Wells sire line has already nicked exceptionally well with Harry Angel.”

All Angels has now had her first three educational starts, gaining plenty of valuable experience along the way. While she has shown plenty physically to suggest that she will benefit from time and further strengthening.  She has now been given a well-earned break and will return to training in the coming months when we hope to see her progress and fulfill more of the potential she showed initially.
