Fast Society off the mark on just his second start

The Andrew Balding-trained Fast Society got off the mark on just his second start at Southwell on Wednesday. He broke smartly under Ben Curtis and led from the off. They tacked across to the stands side rail up the home straight, where he was briefly headed by the favourite. However the son of Fast Company, learning on the job, knuckled down and put the race to bed. Given how green he still is mentally and physically this was a highly promising run and he looks an exciting prospect going forward for his owners.
