We were delighted to purchase this classy daughter of Nathaniel out of a 90-rated Dubawi mare for €75,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland Yearling Sale at Fairyhouse. The price will qualify her for band b restricted maiden/novice races. She is a very elegant filly with a fluent walk and a lovely presence. She has a great deal of natural quality and is an eye-catching individual who should continue to strengthen and develop with time.

Nathaniel has produced three different Classic winning fillies in Enable, You Got To Me and Channel. Remarkably, only three stallions have sired the winners of the English, Irish and French Oaks this century and the other two are Deep Impact and Nathaniel’s own sire, Galileo. He is in good company! 

Nathaniel has also enjoyed a strong record when crossed with Dubawi mares, with a 69% strike rate. One of the best examples is Nate The Great, trained too by Andrew Balding, who achieved a peak rating of 109. He was a precocious sort and whilst most progeny of Nathaniel need a bit of time, this filly doesn’t look ‘backward’ in any way. Andrew has enjoyed an outstanding season with his fillies, including Group 1 winners Kalpana and Blue Bolt.

The dam, Tomouh, was rated 90 herself and is a daughter of the outstanding sire Dubawi and the Group winning / 1,000 Guineas runner-up Sundrop. The latter has also produced three black-type winning half-sisters to Tomouh whilst she herself is by the Japanese breed shaping stallion Sunday Silence.

The management fee includes all administration, guaranteed badges when the horse runs, additional racecourse hospitality where possible, communication and event management, hospitality at the various trainer open mornings, and invitations to various other Kennet Valley events during the year.
