The Kennet Valley Partners involved in Fair Wind had to be patient last season, but this looks to be paying off now that they have an exciting horse to go to war with! FW made his debut last week at Nottingham and came out of his race so well that trainer Owen Burrows allowed him to take his chance again over course and distance there just a week later. This proved to be a shrewd decision, with Fair Wind running a huge race to be second (beaten a head) and taking home a nice chunk of the excellent prize money in the process. He has showed that he is a horse with plenty of potential in 3 year old sprint handicaps for the season ahead and one that his Partners are going to have a lot of fun with.
Snuggle was also unlucky not to get his head in front this week, finishing third at Pontefract on Tuesday having been closed down on the line. He is a likeable horse who deserves to lose his maiden tag next time!
