Purchased for €60,000 at the Goffs Orby Yearling Sale in 2022, Dark Venture is by Dark Angel, one of Europe’s premier sires, known for producing top-class horses such as Battaash. Dark Angel’s Royal Applause bloodline has proven successful at Faringdon Place, home to several outstanding horses including Equiano, another of Dark Angel’s successful sons, with Equality currently in training with Charlie Hills.

Dark Venture is the fifth offspring from the pairing of Dark Angel and Last Bid. This mating has already produced four winners, including the Listed-placed San Andreas and Maggies Angel, making Dark Venture an exciting prospect with a pedigree that speaks for itself.

In 2024, Dark Venture had three starts, finishing 3rd, 2nd, and 5th, showing steady progression. Now rated 70, he looks well-placed to improve further. After thriving during a break, he’s expected to return possibly on the all-weather in March.
