Fair Wind wins on just his third career start

The Owen Burrows-trained Fair Wind shed is maiden tag at odds of 1/12 under Dane O’Neill at Wolverhampton on Saturday night. On just his third start the gelded son of Tasleet improved his form figures to read an impressive 123. Facing just two rivals he was a shade keen early on but Dane got him some cover, before pressing go around the 3 furlong marker. There was instant power and this very fast sprinter soon put the race to bed and came home hands and heels. We will see how the handicapper asses him now, but the dream would be to try and win again and head to the Palace of Holyrood Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Congratulations to his patient owners who have been on a journey with him, as he did not run as a two-year-old and had a yard change early this year. Huge thanks also to Owen and his team who have done a fantastic job with him.
