Equality takes the Group 3 Coral Charge under William Buick

The Charlie Hills-trained Equality recorded his first win at Stakes level when blowing the field apart at Sandown this afternoon in the Group 3 Coral Charge. Often one to miss the break today he pinged the gates and never really saw a rival as he ran them ragged. William Buick, on board on his previous start/win, was mightily impressed and emphasised by saying “he’s a proper horse with a big future”.

Charlie has always insisted he was a Stakes horse and the patience has paid dividends. Although now five years old he is better than ever and improving and with only 20 starts to his name (25% of which he has won) he is relatively lightly raced and should provide a lot more fun over the next few years.

All roads now lead to Goodwood….
